Research, Plan and Design
You know that friend that’s a really good listener? That’s us. And we’re hooked on solving problems. So our work sits in that sweet spot between communication and connection. We are designers. We are artists. We make things that work.

WHO WE ARE

We like our design to do good. We develop strategies to build communities, create change and market innovative goods and services.

In the small business world we help the little guys stand out. We also understand the distinct needs of non-profits and the public sector. Deeply rooted in all of this is an environmental ethic, so we seek to work with those that feel the same about sustainability.

A small shop – with big time ingenuity. At The Image Farm you get the intimacy and candor you need coupled with the top-notch work you deserve.

Plus we’re at the core of a powerful network of blue ribbon creatives. These partners expand our services through flexible, scalable collaborations. Best of all? You get an equal spot on the team.

The Network

The NetworkWhen a project demands more brains and more skill sets we call in our trusty collaborators. A network approach allows everyone to stay focused on what they are really good at.

Partner roles are customized to fit the project and budget, be it simply spitballing ideas, developing key elements or being there from start to finish.

WHAT WE DO
We research, plan and create solutions that fulfill our client’s intent. Every project is one-of-a-kind, so our process is an organized, collaborative method that keeps us agile.
Insight We always begin by getting to know you. We want to learn all we can about your vision, your goals and your context. Good research and lots of questions lead us to solid understanding.
Strategy OK, let’s make a plan. We’ll evaluate all that we’ve discovered and develop recommendations. Then we establish clear steps to reach the project goal.
Design Now our team brings the objective to life. And you’ll be there from concept to final product. Our work taps intellect and emotion. Our toolbox contains many things, both real world and digital.
Connect Why, how and where our clients interact with their market is key. Creating meaningful and positive experiences through those interactions is what we do.

We’re always learning new tricks (that’s a good thing), but here’s “the official list of services.”

TESTIMONIALS

We’ve had the privilege of working with quite a few impressive people doing useful and interesting things.

And when those clients recognize the true value of great design? Well that really feeds our creative fire.

Thoughtful, intelligent and creative.

There is great complexity in working with ACTR’s content. The Image Farm meets the challenge with drive and talent. They’re always responsive and hands-on, with incredible attention to detail.

The information design system they created has been an enormous improvement in communicating with our riders. In fact, it’s been shown as an example of best practice for rural public transit. Our website, a key component in that system, is much more than the sum of its parts. Our annual reports receive praise every year – that’s great news for increasing our critical sponsorships.

Completely unique facilitation system...

The Image Farm and The Grayson Group have developed a completely unique facilitation system founded on the inherent excitement and ownership of the process people feel to see their ideas expressed visually.

Not only are the resulting illustrations packed with information, they are artworks that participants can be proud of, and thus promote a deeper community buy-in.

Nothing short of miraculous...

Bailey/Howe Library is one of the busiest buildings on campus, sometimes logging 8,000 visitors a day. We knew our users needed a better experience… Working with The Image Farm was a great pleasure. We threw many challenges their way and they always came back to us with timely solutions at once practical and elegant. The longer we worked with them, the more we trusted their judgment.

Humor, patience, creativity and good nature make them effective collaborators. The attention to detail was an incredible asset. Despite the scale and complexity, this was one of the more enjoyable projects we’ve done in a long time. And the results have been incredible. I can’t say enough great things. The Image Farm’s work has transformed our building and our users’ experience.

Experience and enthusiasm to reach our objectives...

My team has worked with The Image Farm to develop a social marketing campaign targeting low income women, health care providers and staff. They worked closely with us to develop web, social media, print and video assets – assisting us to focus our message and reach our target audience.

Matt and his team are creative, responsive and experts in their subject areas. They have taken the time to truly understand our project and they have enhanced our efforts. Since we selected The Image Farm, we have never looked back. I recommend The Image Farm without hesitation.

This is just fantastic!

The video, flowchart and parent packet have all been getting great reviews and are being distributed widely. Thanks for helping us develop these much needed resources. A former board member had this to say about the video:

“This is just fantastic! Incredible drawings, narration is superb, filming is soooo well executed – and most importantly, the material is factually correct and presented in a relaxed and welcoming manner. Kudos to everyone involved.”
