Finalist in National Competition

PRESS RELEASE: Vermont Court Diversion Video is Finalist in National Competition
Selected in Web Category in Media for a Just Society Awards

The Vermont Association of Court Diversion Programs’ new web video called Vermont Court Diversion has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Media for a Just Society Awards from the National Council on Crime and Delinquency (NCCD). The 9-minute illustrated video is one of three finalists in the Web category. Read more →

Greener pastures

You may have noticed that The Image Farm had come down with a bad case of outdated website. I attribute it to two factors. #1: The work comes first. We’ve been busy increasing breastfeeding success… building brands for small businesses… improving experiences on buses and in libraries… and using illustration to get at all kinds of things.

But as much as I hate to admit it there is reason #2: “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.” Read more →

Sign Painters

Over the holiday break I’ve been enjoying a book (yes, an actual paper book) given to me by a dear friend and project partner. Sign Painters by Faythe Levine & Sam Macon is a collection of stories and images about a form of design that is at the same time utterly utilitarian and astoundingly beautiful. Levine and Macon introduce us to masters that established the craft and bucking-the-trenders that keep blazing ahead. The documentary film aspect of the project is set to premiere in early 2013. Time to work on my lettering.
