Greener pastures
You may have noticed that The Image Farm had come down with a bad case of outdated website. I attribute it to two factors. #1: The work comes first. We’ve been busy increasing breastfeeding success… building brands for small businesses… improving experiences on buses and in libraries… and using illustration to get at all kinds of things.
But as much as I hate to admit it there is reason #2: “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.”
Designers love to at look things. We’re always looking – for inspiration, appreciation, information. That includes visiting lots and lots of great websites. We (specifically: I) can sometimes have a nicely formulated plan, to only then be sparked by a new idea that promises to be even better. I was becoming a victim of the proverbial saying. So I looked it up… turns out there is scientific truth behind it. Since our eye sees more of each blade of grass as we gaze ahead vs. looking down, that distant field actually does appear greener than that same field beneath our feet.
It’s all about your point of view.
That made us (specifically: me) step back, look again at the problem – and simplify. Just like we do for our clients, we took a fresh look with better perspective. So without further ado, welcome to our new site. Come back often to see what’s happening. Better yet, like us on facebook and we’ll keep you posted.
Onward.
